The practice of coaching can be defined as a process of helping others initiate and sustain positive change in mindset and behavior. Coaching science is the foundation of evidence and theory that supports coaching practice. As the biological processes of neuroplasticity become better understood, coaching science is expanding to address conditions that can help optimize positive neuroplasticity. This session will describe and exemplify coach-facilitated, self-directed neuroplasticity, including a suite of brain states that can generate mindfulness, autonomy, self-awareness, rapport, compassion, curiosity, purpose, creativity, confidence, and self-regulation in self and others.
